Wet Start to Workweek

Showers and storms, heavy at times, will move through in multiple rounds Monday.

After a mainly dry weekend with some sorely needed sunshine, the forecast is changing things around again. A moisture-laden rainmaking system will sweep through the Carolinas Monday morning, bringing with it heavy showers and storms that should last well into the evening. While it won’t be a complete wash, most communities in the WCCB Charlotte viewing area can expect at least a couple of hours of heavy rain and upwards of .5-1.5″ through Tuesday morning. Highs will take a hit as well to start out the workweek, as the Piedmont and Foothills will struggle to get out of the lower 80s, while the High Country should hang around the 70s. The week ahead looks drier and warmer, as highs steadily return to the 90s.
