Heavy Rain & Storms Elevates Flash Flooding Threat Monday
Waking up to a line of storms with trailing showers across the region this morning. Rain will dissipate, but storms will return later this afternoon. A warm front will be lifting northΒ across the region bringing the threat for heavy rain later this afternoon. A flash flood watch has been put in effect for areas north of I-40 until 2am. Temps will be a few degrees below average this afternoon with highs topping out in the low to mid-80s. A few lingering storms will remain possible for Tuesday with seasonable highs and afternoon sunshine returning to the forecast. It will be getting hot by mid-week with temps back in the lower 90s.
