Hot & Humid Days Ahead
Rain chances remain slim at-best for the next five days.
The sunshine made a brilliant return this week, but it comes at a cost. Dangerous triple-digit heat index values will set up shop to close out the week, as showers and storms won’t be around to provide any relief. Expect highs to top out in the mid-to-lower 90s in the Piedmont and Foothills while the High Country sees the 80s to close out the workweek. While the next few days outside may be brutal, there is a big change headed our way by the weekend. The first real cold front we’ve seen in months will blow through by Saturday morning, drastically bumping down temperatures and flushing out the pesky humidity for what should be a nice taste of fall for the weekend. Next week continues the cooler trend, as highs should remain in the 70s and 80s from the weekend onward.
