Dak Prescott Reveals His Struggle With Mental Health, Defends His Leadership
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Sports commentator Skip Bayless is getting absolutely lit up over his lack of empathy for Dak Prescott after Prescott decided to publicly share his struggle with mental health issues. A day after the Dallas Cowboy’s quarterback opened up about his older brother’s suicide and how he’s coped with it, Bayless said he had no sympathy for Prescott.
He said, in part, “Look, he’s the quarterback of Aamerica’s team and you know and I know this sport you play is dog-eat-dog. It is no compassion, no quarter given on the football field. If you reveal publicly any little weakness it can effect your team’s ability to believe in you in the toughest spots, and it definitely can encourage others on the other side to come after you. You throw an interception, you’re gonna hear, ‘You depressed number four?’ You just can’t go public with it, in my humble opinion.”
