Messy Start to Weekend
Widely scattered showers and storms will continue to plague the forecast for the near future.
Our neighborhood-friendly coastal rainmaking system will hang around the Carolinas for the next few days, bringing increased rain chances and widespread cloud coverage as we head into the weekend. While it won’t be a wash, most communities across the WCCB Charlotte viewing area can expect a few rounds of showers and storms over the next couple of days. With the lack of unabated sunshine, we can expect highs to top out noticeably below average in upper 70s and lower 80s in the Piedmont and Foothills, while the High Country may struggle to get out of the 60s. A separate cold front will sweep through early next week, bringing more rain for our Monday, but will also bring another taste of fall by midweek.
Saturday: Cloudy with scattered storms, becoming more isolated later in the day. High: 79°. Wind: NE 5-10.
Saturday Night: Cloudy. A stray shower is possible. Low: 70°. Wind: Light.
Sunday: Mostly cloudy with a few showers. High: 79°. Wind: Light.
