Tropical Depression Nineteen forms near the Bahamas
The Gulf Coast states will need to closely monitor this system
Tropical Depression Nineteen has formed near the Bahamas and is forecast to become a Tropical Storm this weekend as it enters a favorable environment with warm waters and low wind shear. As it strengthens, it will likely pick up the name Sally. As of now there are only 4 names left on the 2020 Atlantic Hurricane Season list. After that, we go to the Greek alphabet.
Tropical storm conditions are possible tonight along southeastern Florida, therefore, a Tropical Storm Watch is now in effect from south of Jupiter Inlet to north of Ocean Reef.
