History Teacher Turns Remote Learning Into Road Trip
CHARLOTTE, N.C. —
A history teacher in Texas took her class on a virtual road trip as in-person classes at her school were on pause.
Cathy Cluck got approval from her principal, and drove around the country greeting her students via video chat from a new location each day.
Clucks stops included Washington, D.C., The Settlements at Jamestown, and the grounds where Alexander Hamilton and Aaron Burr met for their fatal duel.
Cluck used her phone as a hotspot, as she hosted classes from her car, battlefields, and other historical sites.
