Are The Panthers Worse Than You Thought They’d Be This Year?

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – It seems like the Panthers are facing an uphill climb this season. Especially after a 31-17 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday. And now, running back Christian McCaffrey is out for four to six weeks. Even though the team is 0 and 2, with 14 games left in the regular season, McCaffrey is urging everyone, including his teammates, to not count the Panthers out just yet.

McCaffrey said on Monday, “You know, when you’re 0 and 2, it’s not over and that’s very important to understand. I’ve seen, I think it was the Chargers last year, lost their first six games and then came back with week 17, they’re fighting for a playoff spot. There’s teams that have gone 7 and 9 and made the playoffs. There’s teams that go 0 and 2, and they win 13, 14 straight. And I think you can focus on that, or you can focus on the fact that we’re 0 and 2. But at the end of the day, it’s about the football and it’s about one day at a time. One week at a time. One meeting at a time. One practice at a time. That’s all you can control”

McCaffrey says he plans to make a speedy recovery and hopes to return to the game before the four to six week time frame. Fans on Twitter, sounding off saying, “Just sit him out the max you can so he’s 110% healthy because there’s no need to rush we’re losing every game anyways.”
