Cabarrus Co. School Board Votes to Return K-3 to In-Person Learning Despite Superintendent’s Concerns

CONCORD, N.C. – Cabarrus Co. School Board members voted Monday night to move some students to “Plan A,” despite the Superintendent saying that won’t allow for social distancing in some classrooms.

Currently all students in the district are attending classes virtually.

The vote means October 19th, students in Kindergarten through 3rd grade will return to full-capacity classrooms four days a week.

The board also decided grades 4-12 will move to “Plan B” on the same day, which is a hybrid between virtual and in-person.
