Charlotte 49ers Excited To Play After Last Week’s Game Was Canceled

After Coronavirus Canceled Game Against Tar Heels In Chapel Hill, 49ers Turn Focus To Georgia State.

After last week’s game against the Tar Heels in Chapel Hill was canceled due to a positive COVID-19 test, WCCB Charlotte’s Kelli Bartik reports that the Niners have turned their focus to Georgia State.

So far, so good when it comes to this Saturday’s home opener for Charlotte. The Niners were back on the practice field, rested and ready to go.

Head Coach Will Healy says starting quarterback Chris Reynolds has made strides, but is still day-to-day after suffering an upper body injury during the 49ers game at Appalachian State.

Saturday’s kickoff is set for noon at Jerry Richardson Stadium. The game will be televised nationally on ESPNU.
