Pleasant Start to Fall
Another crisp start to the day with temps in the 30s and 40s across the region. Highs will reach the low 70s this afternoon under sunny skies. Dry and cool pattern will persist throughΒ midday Thursday with temps only reaching the low to mid 70s during the afternoons, but overnight lows will be slightly warmer, reaching the upper 50s by Thursday morning. Remnants of Beta, which is now a tropical storm bringing heavy rain to east Texas, will slowly slide east into the south late week. From there this storm will bring showers and pockets of heavy rain to the Carolinas late Thursday into the weekend, with the soggiest day of the week coming Friday. Warmer into the weekend with seasonable highs in the upper 70s returning for early next week.
