Lancaster Police Charge A Man For A Fatal Shooting Inside A Home

LANCASTER, S.C. — The Lancaster Police Department says Quinterious Truesdale, 24, is being charged for shooting and killing another man inside a Lancaster home on Thursday, September 24th.

Truesdale is charged with murder, possession of a firearm during a violent crime, and first degree burglary, according to a news release.

Officers say they responded to the home on West Hood Street shortly before 3 a.m., where two men had been shot, and one died.

Police say Truesdale was flown to a local hospital to be treated for his injuries.

Witness statements say the man who died, and his girlfriend, were asleep when they awoke to Truesdale standing at the foot of their bed and firing at them, according to a news release.

Police say the victim shot back at Truesdale injuring him.
