GASTONIA, N.C. — Gastonia police say the passenger of 1999 Chevrolet Malibu died after the car collided with another vehicle around 5 p.m. on September 25th.
Driver of the Malibu, 24-year-old Ryan Patterson, was heading west on Wren Turnpike when he collided into a 2013 Ford F-150 driven by 42-year-old Anthony Phillips, according to a news release.
Police say Patterson and his passenger Melanie Saesee, 21, were taken to CaroMont Regional Medical Center where Saesee later died.
Patterson is still in critical condition and Phillips was not injured, according to a news release.
