Increasing Showers with Possible Strong Storms Tuesday

Isolated strong to severe storms are possible on Tuesday before Fall Feels return late week

We are tracking a cold front that will bring increased showers, an isolated storm risk, and a nice cool down. Ahead of the front – A Marginal Risk (level 1/5) for strong to severe storms is in place Tuesday into Tuesday evening for those southeast of I-85. All modes of severe weather are possible at this time so be sure to stay weather aware! Rain coverage will be numerous through Tuesday evening with rain tapering off Wednesday. Behind the front – Drier air, more sunshine, and cooler temperatures arrive for the second half of the week. Expect high temperatures in the 60s and 70s with low temperatures in the 40s and 50s. The Mountains will see overnight lows in the 30s and 40s by the end of the week.

Wednesday: Isolated Showers (subject to change with timing of the cold front). High: 69. Wind: N/NW 5-10.
