Silver Alert Cancelled For Missing 63-Year-Old Matthews Man

At the request of the Matthews Police Department and the N.C. Center for Missing Persons the Silver Alert for the missing 63-year-old Matthews man, Kabi Rai, has been cancelled.

According to officials, Rai was located by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department and will soon be reunited with his family.

MATTHEWS, N.C. — A Silver Alert has been issued for missing endangered 63-year-old Kabi Raj Rai. He is believed to be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment, officials say.

Matthews officials say Rai was last seen on Woodbend Drive, off of Idlewild Road, in Matthews on Wednesday, September 23rd around 12:30 p.m.

He is described as an Asian man, around 4 feet 11 inch tall, 100 pounds, with short buzzed cut black and gray hair. Rai was last seen wearing black shorts, a black t-shirt, blue slip sandals and a black and brown watch.

No information has been given as to what direction Rai might have been going in after leaving the scene.
