Sunny Skies, Cooler Highs Continue

Abundant sunshine should dominate the Carolina skies for the next several days.

Our neighborhood-friendly high-pressure system continues to build into the Carolinas from the west, setting us up for what should be a beautiful few days ahead. Despite the abundant sunshine, temperatures should largely struggle to get much above 70º in the Piedmont, while the upper 50s should settle into the High Country. With stable air settling in from the northeast, expect rain chances to remain minimal through the weekend. A weak and mainly dry cold front will move through by Tuesday, but there won’t be much change in the forecast through the start of the workweek. As more southerly winds return by midweek, above-normal highs should return in the upper 70s and lower 80s.

Sunday: Sunny and breezy. High: 72°. Wind: NE 5-10.

Sunday Night: Mostly clear. Placid. Low: 50°. Wind: Light.

Monday: Sunny skies. Comfy. High: 75°. Wind: NE 5-10.
