Carolina Panthers Reveal Design For Team’s New Training Facility And Business Headquarters In Rock Hill
ROCK HILL, S.C. — The Carolina Panthers, along with officials in York County and with the City of Rock Hill, have revealed renderings and design plans for the team’s new training facility and business headquarters in Rock Hill.
The state-of-the-art facility will include restaurants, retail space, a healthcare facility, apartments, hotels, office space, and trails. The project includes a 120,000-square foot indoor practice facility, outdoor practice fields, and a 113,000-square foot multipurpose sports and entertainment venue, according to Tepper Sports & Entertainment.
The Carolina Panthers say the indoor practice field will include 80-foot tall operable glass doors. Some of the other amenities include a 20,00o-square foot weight room for players, a 6,000-square foot locker room, and a 5,000-square foot hydrotherapy room that will help player’s rehab and recovery following practices.
The Panthers also say the project requires 3.9 million square feet of development and that 60 acres of native trees will be saved and a half-mile of natural creek will be preserved. The project will also call for a new interchange off Interstate 77, over 13,000 feet of new public streets, and 2,600 parking spaces.
Construction has already started and the project has an estimated completion date of 2023.
