Rowan County Deputies Search For Arson Suspect
SALISBURY, N.C. — Deputies say they are searching for a man who set Franklin Baptist Church on fire using an accelerant around 10:15 p.m. on October 6th.
The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office say several witnesses saw a white man wearing tan overalls and a ball cap, with sandy colored hair walking from the fire around 10:19 p.m., and detectives obtained a video from Pop’s Country Story off Highway 601 showing the suspect.
Detectives say an area of landscaping, an exterior door, a vinyl window, and parts of a vinyl soffit were damaged in the fire.
