Gastonia Police Charge 2 Men In Fatal Shooting After Victim Dies In Hospital

GASTONIA, N.C. — Gastonia Police say gunshot victim John Bryant Jr. has died, and Rickie Hooper Jr., 26, and Christopher Hooper, 21, face charges of first degree murder in the fatal shooting.

GASTONIA, N.C. — Gastonia Police say they are looking for three people involved in a shooting that sent a man to the hospital with a life-threatening injury on Thursday, October 8th.

Officers say they are looking for two white men and one white woman in their investigation, and a blue-gray SUV is connected to the shooting.

The shooting took place around 12 a.m. on South New Hope Road into an occupied home, and the victim, 38-year-old John Bryant Jr., was taken to CaroMont Regional Medical Center in critical condition with a gunshot wound to his leg.
