CMPD: Detectives Identify Victim In Northwest Charlotte Homicide

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — CMPD detectives say 47-year-old Damond Brown died after being shot on October 9th.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police say a northwest Charlotte homicide investigation is underway after a person was fatally shot early Friday morning.

Officers responded to Rozzelles Ferry Road, at the intersection of Honeywood Ave., around 3:40 a.m. after reports of an assault with a deadly weapon.

When officers arrived, they located a victim with a gunshot wound lying near the roadway. The victim was pronounced dead on scene.

 

The investigation into this case is active and ongoing.
