Silver Alert Cancelled For Missing 62-Year-Old Hickory Man

At the request of the Hickory Police Department and the N.C. Center for Missing Persons the Silver Alert for the missing 62-year-old Hickory man, Kent Reid, has been cancelled.

According to officials, Reid was located and is safe.

HICKORY, N.C. — A Silver Alert has been issued for endangered 62-year-old Kent Reid. He is believed to be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment, officials say.

Hickory police say Reid was last seen at 5 a.m. Thursday at Springs of Catawba, an assisted living facility, located at 2010 29th Avenue Drive Northeast in Hickory.

He is described as a black man, 5 feet 11 inches tall and 200 pounds. Reid was last seen wearing an orange t-shirt, vest and black beanie hat.
