Man Found Fatally Shot Near Uptown Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department are investigating a homicide after a man was fatally shot near uptown Charlotte early Friday.

The incident happened around 4 a.m. near the intersection of North College Street and East 12th Street.

When officers arrived at the scene they located a man suffering from a gunshot wound. Police say he was pronounced dead at the scene by MEDIC.

The investigation into this case is active and ongoing.
