Deputies: Registered Sex Offender Wanted For Home Invasion, Sexual Assault Of Elderly Woman Located In Catawba County

Alexander County deputies say a 35-year-old man accused of multiple crimes involving the home invasion and sexual assault of an elderly woman has been taken into custody in Catawba County.

MONROE, N.C. — Warrants were issued Thursday for a 35-year-old man deputies say is accused of multiple crimes involving the home invasion and sexual assault of an elderly woman in July.

Julius Santez Williams, a registered sex offender, is accused of crimes that happened during a home invasion incident at a Hiddenite Community home in Alexander County on July 19.

Deputies say Williams is facing charges of Felony First Degree Rape, Felony First Degree Burglary, Felony First Degree Kidnapping, and Felony Assault Inflicting Serious Bodily Injury.

Williams last seen early Friday morning in the city of Monroe, North Carolina, where he ran away from law enforcement on foot.

Officials say due to the nature of these crimes, they encourage anyone who would come into contact with Williams not to approach him and to contact a local law enforcement agency.

Williams may be in a small white SUV.
