CMPD deputies say they charged Moore with two counts of felony flee to elude arrest on a $20,000 bond, bringing his total bond amount up to $770,000.

Investigators say on Tuesday, October 20th around 5 p.m. the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office responded to the home invasion on Fern Hill Road.

Deputies say a woman in the front yard of the home told them that Moore was a family member who had stolen her car and fled the scene after tying her and two of her family members up, and locking her outside of the home.

When entering the home police found a man untying himself, and one elderly woman, still tied up and in need of medical assistance, according to a news release.

Detectives say they were able to free the elderly woman and provide medical care until Iredell County EMS arrived and took her to the hospital for emergency treatment.

The victims say Moore came into the home demanding money, and when they refused, he assaulted them and tied all three of them up, according to a news release.

Deputies say Moore stole their credit cards, and untied one woman to take with him, but she was able to escape and call 9-1-1 from a neighbors house.

Moore then stole the woman’s car and took off before police arrived at the scene, according to a news release.

Iredell County Sheriff’s Office detectives say they were notified when Moore attempted to use one of the stolen bank cards in Belmont, and were notified again as he attempted to use the cards in the Charlotte area.

CMPD officers say they saw the stolen vehicle in Charlotte and a car chase ensued after officers attempted to stop Moore.

Moore was taken in after eventually stopping for police, and waits for his trial in Iredell County, according to a news release.
