Thousands Pack President Trump Campaign Rally In Gastonia
GASTONIA, N.C. — President Trump had over 28,278 people registered for his political rally in Gastonia, North Carolina on October 21st, according to Chairman of the Republican Political Party in N.C. Michael Whatley.
President Trump addressed this crown of several thousand at a ‘Make America Great Again’ campaign event at the Gastonia Municipal Airport. Trump says Governor Roy Cooper needs to open up North Carolina and is only keeping citizens in Phase 3 for “political reasons.” Trump also warned voters that Biden will raise taxes, take guns away, eliminate private healthcare, and tear down the borders.
Thousands of people attended the event and some attendees were not wearing a mask. North Carolina has seen a spike in COVID-19 cases in the last week and public health officials are urging people to take precautions and stay away from large crowds. WCCB’s Marvin Beach was at the rally talking to Trump supporters about the upcoming election and their concerns with the coronavirus. Watch his report here:
