CMPD Officers Paint Pumpkins With Kids At University City Farmers Market

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — University City Farmers Market organizers says they will offer pumpkin painting for kids with help from CMPD officers on Saturday, October 24th.

Organizers say during the event guests can hear live music from Mariachi Los Caporales, participate in family yoga, and learn to cook some delicious recipes through different demonstrations.

Farmers Market officials say the event will go as follows:

  • 11 a.m. : Kids pumpkin painting with Charlotte-Mecklenburg officers.
  • 11:30 a.m. : Cooking demonstrations.
  • 12 p.m. : Family yoga.

The University City Farmers Market opened this fall at the lake at Shoppes at University place and provides fresh local produce, food preparation lessons, kids crafts, and live entertainment, according to a news release.

The University City Farmers Market is open on Saturdays in October from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and include local vendors, artisanal food makers, and pop-up chefs, according to a news release.
