Lincoln County Deputies Arrest Break-In Suspects

LINCOLNTON, N.C. — Deputies say three suspects were arrested after shattering the glass door to an O’Reilly’s Auto Parts and stealing over $1,000 in merchandise at 3 a.m. on October 23rd.

Angela Copper, 25, Terica Coleman, 28, and John Barnett, 40, are charged with one count of felony breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering, conspiracy, and possession of stolen goods, according to a news release.

Police say Barnett was also charged with attempted breaking and entering and conspiracy, and Coleman was charged with misdemeanor breaking and entering.

Deputies say after responding to the break-in, they noticed a suspicious car turning onto Highway 73 and followed the car to NC Highway 16 where they pulled the vehicle over.

Copper was driving the car when they were pulled over, and she admitted the trio first went to tractor Supply on NC Highway 16 Business to steal a trailer, according to a news release.

Copper says afterwards they threw a cinder block at the glass doors O’Reilly’s Auto Parts and stole goods from the store.

Investigators say a portion of the cinder block and the stolen goods were found inside the vehicle Copper was driving.

Detectives say all three suspects were taken before a Lincoln County magistrate and are being held in the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center under a $15,000 bond each.
