CMPD: Larceny Suspects Shoot At Police Vehicle While Fleeing

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — CMPD detectives say an officer’s vehicle was shot at when police responded to a report of larceny around 4:30 a.m. on October 24th in east Charlotte.

Investigators say after officers responded to the crime on Academy Street, they found the suspect’s car and tried to stop the vehicle.

The suspects fired shots at officers while fleeing the scene, and officers did not return fire and were not injured, according to a news release.
