Weddington Woman Identified as Victim in Naval Training Crash

FOLEY, AL – Friends and family are remembering a local Coast Guard officer who died in a Naval training crash.

24-year-old Morgan Garrett, from Weddington, died when her plane crashed into a home in Alabama on Friday.

A U.S. Navy Lieutenant from Michigan also died, but no civilians were hurt.
