School Districts Turn To Remote Learning As Zeta Moves Through The Carolinas

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — On Thursday, October 29th several local school districts will close or teach students remotely as Hurricane Zeta moves its way through the Carolinas causing inclement weather, according to a news release.

Officials say the schools below will hold a remote learning day on Thursday;

  • Burke County Schools
  • Cabarrus County Schools
  • Catawba County Schools
  • Gaston County Schools
  • Hickory Public Schools
  • Iredell-Statesville Schools
  • Kannapolis City Schools
  • Newton-Conover Schools
  • Lincoln County Schools
  • Rowan-Salisbury Schools

South Carolina officials say York District One Schools will also turn to remote learning, and Fort Mill Schools and Clover School District Buildings will be closed.
