A Cold Front is Knocking on Our Door
A cold front is heading our way which will bring much cooler air with lower humidity for Friday and the weekend!
Zeta is now Post Tropical and will continue tracking off the Mid-Atlantic coast. A cold front is knocking on our door and will bring us scattered showers through the evening with a few cells producing gusty winds. The gusty winds will not be widespread like they were Thursday morning, but isolated gusts in thunderstorms are possible. Once this front rolls through this evening, expect humidity to drop, wind directions to shift, clearing, and cooler air to build into the area.
By Friday expect sunny skies with high temperatures dropping through the weekend. Weekend high temperatures will only top out near 60 degrees and lows near 40 degrees across the Piedmont. 10 degrees cooler for highs and lows in the Mountains.
