CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Due to extreme weather conditions brought on by Tropical Storm Zeta multiple counties in the WCCB viewing area have experienced power outages.
Across the Carolinas there is a total of 9,578 active power outages and a total of 420,343 Duke Energy customers without power. In North Carolina there are 301,388 and in South Carolina 118,955.
- Mecklenburg County has a total of 20,970 customers without power. Power is expected to be restored after repairs and damages are assessed.
- Anson County has a total of 31 customers without power. Power is expected to be restored after repairs and damages are assessed.
- Avery County has a total of 70 customers without power. Power is expected to be restored after repairs and damages are assessed.
- Burke County has a total of 6,173 customers without power. The next available update for time restoration will be Thursday at 8:30 p.m.
- Cabarrus County has a total of 592 customers without power. Power is expected to be restored after repairs and damages are assessed.
- Caldwell County has a total of 762 customers without power. Power is expected to be restored after repairs and damages are assessed.
- Catawba County has a total of 20,566 customers without power. Power is expected to be restored after repairs and damages are assessed.
