CMPD: Woman Sexually Assaulted In Uptown Charlotte After Leaving Panthers’ Game

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department say a woman was sexually assaulted in Uptown Charlotte after she left the Carolina Panthers’ football game.

Police say officers responded to W. Morehead Street just before 12:30am on October 30th in reference to a sexual assault.  The victim said she left the stadium and was walking on W. Morehead Street when she was approached by a man who sexually assaulted her.

Police say the victim gave a limited suspect description but said he appeared to be homeless and was wearing a light-colored top.
