Be Honest: Are You Jonesing To Put Up Your Holiday Decorations Early This Year?

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – We are back from a festive Halloween weekend as we face one of the biggest elections in U.S. history. And we are sure you at home are anxious enough about the results so we’ll save that for Tuesday night.

Another thing we are sure of: is that some of you are anxious to get your Christmas or holiday decorations put up already. A study from October 2019 finds 43% of Americans either want to put up Christmas decorations before November first or say they’re okay with others doing so.

And with just the search of the #ChristmasDecorations on Twitter, Edge producer Brandon Refour was able to gauge how people feel about Christmas decorations in 2020. One user saying, “Maybe putting them up early will make it feel like we are getting towards the end of this crappy year. I don’t usually so early but I’m considering it.”

And another saying in part, “Halloween/fall decor September 1st to October 31st. Christmas/holiday decor November 1st to December 31st. I don’t make the rules.”

That brings us to our question of the night: is it too early to start putting up Christmas decorations?
