15-Year-Old Accused In Union County Crime Spree
INDIAN TRAIL, N.C. — The Union County Sheriff’s Office says they arrested a 15-year-old boy after connecting him to several crimes that happened in Indian Trail. Deputies say they responded to an armed robbery call at Marco’s Pizza in Indian Trail on November 3rd just before 9pm.
The teenage suspect is accused of entering the restaurant armed with a knife and wearing a mask. He reportedly stole cash and items belonging to an employee. Deputies say they quickly located the suspect and took him into custody after a short foot pursuit.
Deputies and Union County Sheriff Office detectives say the suspect is also responsible for an armed robbery at a nearby 7/11 on Unionville-Indian Trail Road that happened just after midnight on November 3rd.
In addition, deputies say they believe the suspect stole a vehicle at the same 7/11 on October 17th. The victim’s vehicle was later recovered in Charlotte after being involved in a crash, according to deputies. The suspect is now in custody at a juvenile detention facility. His name will not be released because he is a minor.
