Clouds, Rain Return for Workweek
An incoming frontal system will borrow some moisture from Eta as it moves into the Gulf and dump it over the Carolinas this week.
Another day, another record high! The good times continue into the second half of the weekend, as sunny skies and unseasonably warm highs dominate the Carolinas. Big changes are coming to the forecast, however, as Tropical Storm Eta draws closer to the US. While we won’t see any direct impacts from Eta anytime soon, a separate frontal system will scoop up some moisture from the tropical storm before dumping it over the WCCB Charlotte viewing area. Expect clouds to start piling into the western half of the Carolinas by Monday afternoon, but rain chances should only remain isolated at best. We won’t be so lucky for the remainder of the week; heavy showers and storms return to the forecast by Tuesday night and may last into the weekend. Stay tuned for possible severe weather for your Veterans Day Wednesday.
