A Soggy Few Days Ahead This Week

Indirect moisture from Eta plus a cold front will bring a soggy couple days to the WCCB area.

A ridge of high pressure, a cold front and Tropical Storm Eta will all play a role in our weather this week. Expect scattered showers on Tuesday to turn numerous to widespread on Wednesday and Thursday as a cold front moves eastward across the WCCB area. The cold front is the primary reason we will see midweek rain, but due to the clockwise flow around the area of high pressure offshore and the counterclockwise flow around Eta, added moisture will build N/NW across the Carolinas adding to our rain totals. Isolated flash flooding is possible as models project 2-4”+ Tuesday night – Friday. A second cold front will roll through this weekend which will usher in cooler temperatures next week.
