Another Soggy Day Before Sunshine Returns

Tropical Storm Eta will likely make landfall south of Cedar Key, Florida Thursday morning.

Shattering Records today in the Queen City:
– Record high of 81° today beats the previous record of 78°.
– The low temperature this morning in Charlotte was 70°! This is the warmest low temperature ever recorded for the month of November.
– Dew Point Temperature of 74° occurred at noon today. This is the highest Dew Point Temperature ever recorded for the month of November!

A Flash Flood Watch is in effect for every county in the WCCB area in effect until 7 pm Thursday.

A cold front will move through the WCCB area tonight and increase rain coverage through the overnight hours into Thursday. Expect heavy, widespread rain Thursday morning. Isolated flash flooding is possible as models project an additional 1-3”+. Tropical Storm Eta is forecast to make landfall south of Cedar Key, Florida along the west coast of the Florida Peninsula early Thursday morning then weaken and continue toward the Atlantic Ocean. Dry air builds in on Friday and sticks around through much of the weekend with weekend highs in the 60s and 70s with lows in the 40s.
