N.C. Transportation Officials Close A Section Of Mallard Creek Road Due To Flooding

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The North Carolina Department of Transportation closed a section of Mallard Creek Road in northeast Charlotte after flooding undermined a portion of the shoulder, according to a news release.

Officials say NCDOT crews are currently assessing the damage and what repairs are needed to reopen this section of the road.

Transportation officials say a detour has been created for anyone driving from Mallard Creek Road to Johnston-Oehler Road and Prosperity Church Road, returning to Mallard Creek Road.
