YWCA Central Carolinas Fitness Center Reopens With New Safety Measures
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The YWCA Central Carolinas Fitness Center is officially back open. The facility on Park Road in south Charlotte shut down due to the pandemic in March. It reopened last month with new safety measures in place.
Some of the changes include checking temperatures at the door, blocking off equipment to ensure physical distancing, and requiring reservations to use the pool. YWCA Central Carolinas also works to tackle important issues in our community, like empowering women and eliminating racism.
“We’re still offering everything we offered before, we’re just doing it while social distancing, ” says Jeff Nerrett
“Naturally, there is anxiety about coming back into the facility. The YWCA has done an excellent job of ensuring social distancing standards are being met, at the same time you feel safe,” says Angela Witt.
