The Hello Kitty Cafe Truck Is Coming To Charlotte Saturday

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Hello Kitty Cafe Truck is coming to Charlotte on Saturday, November 21 as it continues its tour of ‘super-cute’ stops in cities all across the United States.

Since the Hello Kitty Cafe Truck made its debut in October 2014 as part of Sanrio’s first food-related venture, the cafe on wheels has delighted thousands of fans from all over the U.S., drawing crowds of up to hundreds of Hello Kitty lovers at each stop.

To date, two Hello Kitty Cafe trucks have traveled to more than 100 cities across both coasts – from Los Angeles, Seattle and Houston – to Chicago, New York and Miami, according to a news release.

Hello Kitty Cafe Truck Appearance will be held at the SouthPark Mall, located on Sharon Road in south Charlotte, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The truck will be between Dick’s Sporting Goods and the Dining Pavilion.

Fans of Hello Kitty can look forward to new exclusive goodies and limited-edition collectibles, including Hello Kitty Cafe Cookie Plush, Hand-Decorated Cookie Sets, Sprinkle Mugs, Madeleine Cookie Sets, Hello Kitty Cafe Canvas Totes, and Enamel Pin Sets (in 2 styles.)

Other items that will be available include stainless steel thermal bottles, sprinkle T-Shirts, bow shaped water bottles, giant Hello Kitty Cafe chef cookies and a cafe lunchbox.

The Hello Kitty Cafe Truck only accepts only credit and debit card payments.

Following Charlotte, the Hello Kitty Cafe Truck will continue its 2020 East Coast tour with a stop in Jacksonville, FL on 12/5.

The Hello Kitty Cafe Truck has implemented new safety procedures and increased sanitation efforts in place for all guests, including:

  • Staff will be wearing masks and gloves inside of the Hello Kitty Cafe Truck
  • Stanchions and social distancing markers will be placed on the ground
  • Counters will be wiped down with disinfectant every 30 minutes
  • POS and payment readers will be wiped down every 30 minutes
  • Hand sanitizer will be provided
  • Guests will be encouraged to:
    •Stay home if sick with a cough or fever
    • Wear a face mask
    • Maintain a distance of 6 feet from other customers and staff
    • Clean hands with soap and water or hand sanitizer after contact with frequently touched surfaces
