CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Officials with the Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) say they will provide free rides on holiday-themed buses to celebrate the season.
CATS officials say from November 27th through December 31st riders can board a holiday bus to reach their destination for free.
The exterior of the holiday buses will be wrapped with the saying “Happy Holidays,” and the two buses will operate on local, express, and regional bus routes.
βThis year has been especially challenging for many of our community members,β said CATS CEO John Lewis. βWe hope that the holiday-bus initiative can bring our riders a moment of joy. The power of giving is more important than ever.β
CATS officials say the holiday buses will have a 20-passenger limit, complying with current health and safety protocols.
