CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department say 30-year-old Tobias Flores-De Paz is under arrest for soliciting a child for sexual acts online.
Police say Flores-De Paz was arrested on November 24th when he attempted to meet up with what he believed to be a 15-year-old kid.
Flores-De Paz is charged with two counts of third degree sexual exploitation of a minor and the solicitation of a child by computer to commit an unlawful sex act, according to a news release.
CMPD Cyber Crimes Unit detectives say they teamed up with the FBI Violent Crimes Against Children Task Force on November 19th to find the suspect actively soliciting sex from a minor.
CMPD detectives say they are continuing an investigation into additional crimes Flores-De Paz may have committed, and anyone with more information is asked to call Detective Dunbar at 704-336-8371.
