Another Beautiful Weekend, Big Changes Lurk Ahead

Most of us should remain dry through Sunday afternoon before rain and a sharp drop in temperatures arrive for the workweek ahead.

It was a messy start to our Thanksgiving, but we cleared out nicely by the afternoon, setting us up for what should be a gorgeous weekend ahead. Clouds and a few drizzles may hang around as we wake up on Saturday, but dry air should settle in by the afternoon hours as sunny skies and temperatures in the 50s and 60s should set up shop across the area. The good times will keep rolling into the second half of the weekend before a messy rainmaking system from the Gulf will sweep northward into the Carolinas by Sunday night. Most of the WCCB Charlotte viewing area will see .5-1.5″ by the time the rain clears out Monday evening. A separate cold front will move in behind the rain, which will allow temperatures to freefall by midweek. We could be waking up to teens and 20s Wednesday morning, so enjoy the warmth while it lasts.
