MATTHEWS, N.C. — Officers with the Matthews Police Department say they found two dead individuals when conducting a welfare check on November 3rd.
Officers say they received a call to check on a home on Phillips Wood Lane around 1:15 p.m., and when they arrived they found two individuals dead inside the home with evidence there was a fire recently.
Police say this is an active investigation in cooperation with the Mecklenburg County Fire Marshal’s Office and CMPD’s Crime Scene Unit.
