Bone-Chilling Air Arrives for Christmas
Black ice may be an issue for your Christmas travel plans, as temperatures will struggle to get above freezing through much of the day.
Merry Christmas! We dealt with the wet and windy 60s for much of our Christmas Eve, but temperatures may be cut in half as we head into Christmas. Despite abundant sunshine, temperatures will struggle to get much above freezing in the Piedmont, while the teens and 20s can be expected for the High Country for the majority of our holiday Friday. Sunny skies and bone-chilling highs will continue into the holiday weekend before a slight warm-up to start out next week. Highs should return to the 50s before another wet cooldown arrives as we turn the page into the new year.
