CMPD: 2 Teens Dead, 1 In Hospital Following A Fatal Shooting In East Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg detectives say 16-year-old Katherine Lopez Cruz and 13-year-old Michelle Robles were killed in a shooting in east Charlotte on December 24th.

Detectives say a third gunshot victim remains at a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Officers say they responded to the shooting on Olde Savannah Road at 10:45 p.m. to find three victims with apparent gunshot wounds and one additional victim with a laceration.

One of the gunshot victims died at the scene, a second one died at the hospital, and the third is still being treated for life-threatening injuries, according to a news release.
