Cloudier, Wetter Start to Workweek

Other than a few passing showers overnight Monday into Tuesday, much of the week ahead looks dry.

It was a messy and wintry close to the week, but the weekend has been absolutely gorgeous. Hopefully, you’ve enjoyed the sunshine, because clouds and showers return to the forecast by Monday night. A weak area of low pressure will pass well to our south, bumping up rain chances for the southern half of the WCCB viewing area overnight Monday into Tuesday. While much of our Monday will remain dry, clouds will keep things chilly across the board, as temperatures will struggle to get out of the 30s and 40s in the High Country and Piedmont, respectively. Some snow may start falling in the mountains on the backside of the system early Tuesday morning, but most of the moisture will remain in the Metro and southeastward. Beyond Tuesday, things look bright and dry for much of the week ahead. Chances for another winter storm this weekend have decreased, but the long-term pattern ahead is still favorable. Stay tuned!
