CMPD Asking For Public’s Help Identifying Suspect In South Charlotte Bowling Alley Shooting

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg detectives are looking for a suspect that has been accused of shooting one person at a south Charlotte bowling alley Saturday evening.

Officers say the man entered the AMF Centennial Lanes, located on South Boulevard, around 6:40 p.m. While inside the business, the suspect had a verbal altercation with the an unidentified victim.

According to CMPD, two other unidentified suspects began arguing and then started physically fighting the victim. During the time of the fight, one of the suspects fired several shots striking the victim.

At the time of the shooting, there was around 40-50 people nearby, including approximately 10 children.

The suspect was then seen leaving the business and entering a dark-colored Jeep SUV. The vehicle was last seen traveling on South Boulevard.

The suspect is described as a black man with mid-back length dreadlocks, gray pants, white or gray shirt, and white shoes.
