The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s Homicide Unit have classified a fatal south Charlotte shooting from October 2020 as a justified homicide, police say.
The Mecklenburg County District Attorney’s Office has reviewed the case and concurs with the detectives’ decision to not charge anyone in this case.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Detectives say 35-year-old Jonquil Thompson died after being shot on October 3rd around 2 a.m. on Conway Avenue.
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department says they are investigating the shooting as a homicide.
